The Air & Space Museum
My Dad, Evan and I went to the Air & Space Museum last week. Evan started playing a little game where he'd start to run and would look back to see if I was chasing him. I went along with it for a little while but at one point, he ran behind an elevator bay and ducked under a railing that I couldn't fit under. So I went the long way around to find him, and then realized where he was....right smack in the middle of one of the exhibit areas, standing inches away from one of the big planes. He said "I'm gonna get in this one, Mama!" I freaked out a little but didn't want to jump over the barrier and go in there and get him, so I kept pleading with him to come out. I finally told him to "Come out right now or there will be no birthday party this weekend!" Suddenly he appeared by my side. The rest of the visit was uneventful except that he had his first real hamburger experience. The only available food at the museum is from a McDonald's Restaurant inside. He said he was going to eat it like a big boy instead of letting me tear it into bites for him. However, he ended up flipping it around and nibbling out of the center of the top bun, chipmunk style. I don't think he got any meat in his mouth at all. Then he discovered my french fries, and that was the end of the burger's appeal!
