Fun at the Fair

We took Evan to his first fair on Sunday. It was a little country fair with bluegrass and New Orleans jazz music, antiques, crafts, games, homemade ice cream and a free train ride through a pasture for the kiddies. Evan enjoyed the music (we caught him bobbing his head to it a few times) and he LOVED the train ride...so much so that he threw a fit after Tom took him off the train and tried to put him in his stroller. So I took him for a second ride a little later, and then we made a quick dash to the car with Tom carrying Evan and me pushing the empty stroller behind them!

Pouting

I hate to take joy in Evan's misery, but his little pouty face with the poked out bottom lip is one of the cutest sights I've ever seen! I love how he tries to make himself feel better in the end by playing his drum. Too cute!

Mad At Mommy!

Evan was playing with my digital camera and creating havoc with my settings, so I took it away from him and then turned it on him. He was not happy!

Good Morning, Sunshine! (Part II)

Still waiting for his bottle, and still using his socks as entertainment.

Good Morning, Sunshine!

This video was shot in the morning just after Evan woke up. He's waiting patiently (?) for his first bottle of the day to heat up.

Play Date

Evan's twin cousins Ava and Aiden came down for a visit on Sunday (along with their parents Becky and Brad) and we all went out for Mexican food and then let the babies play at our house. The twins are both walking now, and Evan watched them intently, but wasn't inspired to start walking independently himself. Speed-crawling and zooming around in his walker are still his preferred modes of transporation.

Cutie Pie!

Oh No, Spaghetti Oh's!

Evan has become very opinionated about food in the last few weeks, and in this photo, he's demonstrating how he'd rather wear his spaghetti and green beans than eat them.

Nostalgia For The Old Days

We recently started giving Evan his baths in the regular bathtub instead of putting his little tub in the big tub. I stuck the little tub in the guestroom to get it out of the way, fully intending to carry it down to the garage later that day, but then forgot all about it. During one of Evan's recent crawling expeditions into the guestroom, he discovered his old tub and climbed right into it!

Baby Dragon

Evan was testing out a potential Halloween costume but he really didn't like the hood. He sure was cute in it, though.
