Screaming Contest

Evan and his cousin Jacob had an impromptu screaming contest yesterday, and while it isn't clear who the winner was, the obvious loser was Grandpa's eardrums!! I only caught a snippet of it, but it went on for quite awhile!!

Three Little Cutie Pies

We had a family birthday party for Tom yesterday and Evan's twin cousins Aiden and Ava showed up wearing navy and white, just like he was. We couldn't have coordinated them any better if we'd planned it on purpose!

Here Comes Trouble

Ever since Evan learned that he can move across the room on his knees, he has turned into quite the explorer and has gotten into EVERYTHING. His favorite new past times are batting at the metal door stoppers to make them go "boing" over and over again, attacking piles of just-folded laundry and pulling out the crib sheets from his bottom chest of drawers. It was fairly easy to baby-proof things on his current level, but once he starts walking and opening cabinets, etc. we will really will have our work cut out for us!

Crawling, Part 2

He Crawls!!

Yesterday, Evan's sitter told me that he's been crawling at her house, and I was a bit jealous because we hadn't seen him do it before. So I took him home, plopped him on the floor, put one of his favorite toys a couple of feet away, and waited.......and waited. The most he would do was get into crawling position and then rock his bottom up and down in the air, like he was revving his engines to take off, but he wouldn't go anywhere. Then tonight, while playing on the floor of Tom's den, he just suddenly did it. I got the third attempt on film. He's still a little bit bumbling but he's coming along.
