The 4th of July

On our Independence Day holiday, I took the boys to the mall during the day to keep them occupied while Tom got some work done at home. In the evening, we decided we'd take them to see their first fireworks this year. We went to a nearby parking lot in town where we could view the fireworks from a large park across the highway. We got a great view without the loud noises or horrendous traffic when it was all over....although our traffic was plenty bad enough! Took us 5 minutes to get there and about 35 minutes to get home! Dylan didn't actually see any fireworks because he fell asleep in my lap with a bottle in his mouth before they started, and he was out the rest of the night! Evan liked them, though! At one point, he decided that the viewing would be better through his Iron Man mask! Fun day!
