Easter Fun

Evan started getting excited about Easter (and more specifically, what the Easter Bunny was going to bring him), sometime in February! Whenever he acted naughty, we would remind him that the Easter Bunny brings only sticks and grass to boys and girls who misbehave. On Easter morning, Tom couldn't resist playing a little joke on Evan. He went down the stairs to see if the Easter Bunny had arrived and then came back and said, "Well, yeah, the Easter Bunny came and left a BIG basket for you, Evan..."  Evan ran down the stairs excitedly but then had a fit when he saw our large laundry basket sitting on the coffee table with some grass and sticks in it. He quickly grew very angry and started hitting the basket while shouting "No! No!" Then we told him that wasn't his basket - it was for Willie (our naughty cat) and he should keep looking to find his. His was hidden in the corner behind Dylan's playpen. He was very happy with all of his loot! We then took the boys to see their Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Maryland in the afternoon and Evan had a blast. He especially loved playing with his big boy cousins Jacob and Garrett. It was a great day!
