It's hard to believe that we're already into February 2009. Evan just turned 7 months old - also hard to believe - and seemed to have a lot of "firsts" in the first month of the new year. He had his first pureed fruits and vegetables, got his first tooth (followed quickly by the second one), sat upright without support for the first time, and even said his first word, "Da-Da" on command, although he's been reluctant to repeat it since.
We are really starting to have fun with him at this stage, and every evening, we busily try to cram in his dinner-time, play-time, music-time and story-time before we finally get to bed-time. Tom and I have come up with dozens of different tactics to make Evan laugh and we try to make that happen as often as possible. I don't think there is anything sweeter or more pure than the sound of baby laughter.
